We are an Australian based company that was first established in Canada in 2017 focused on bringing quality and custom craftmanship into furniture, woodwork and installation services. We strive to create unique pieces by always evolving our designs and art while still keeping the rustic and industrial aesthetic.
Our passion lies in the integration of old and antique pieces into our redesigned works of art . We focus on customer satisfaction and therefore we collaborate with each customer to make sure the end product is something custom, unique and absolutely beautiful. Along with many types of wood, The Barking Axe makes use of metal work and welding to produce our products. Our name comes from an axe which was used by lumberjacks to strip bark off of logs in the 19th century. People would pay more for stripped logs as they were of finer quality to work with, and similarly, we aim for everything we produce to be of the highest quality for the consumer.
